Fresh off a jaw-dropping performance at the immensely successful, inaugural Spring Awakening Music Festival at Soldier Field – Troy Beetles, better known as DATSIK, is having quite a year thus far. Thought of by many as one of the more impressive sets of the SAMF weekend, he brought to the table his unique style of hip-hop, future-tech, dubstep bangers and left the crowd of wobble hungry bass-heads nearly speechless.
Datsik is certainly proving to be an increasingly prominent figure in the thriving dubstep community. He dropped his debut LP earlier this year entitled, Vitamin D, of which the single “Fully Blown” received large critical acclaim and play by DJs all across the globe. He also just announced the debut of his own record label entitled Firepower Records featuring an all-star squad of bass heavy artists including Delta Heavy, Terravita, Bare Noize, AFK, and others. Fans will be delighted to learn that the inaugural Firepower Records tour was just announced, stopping in an impressive 37 cities nationwide!
